The nation’s trucking companies have been dealing with a shortage of qualified drivers. In the next couple of years the problem is expected to get worse with new regulations affecting trucking companies. A career in driving a truck isn’t for everybody, but more and more companies are trying to attract a new generation of drivers as the current generation retires.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced it will renew the exemptions from its vision requirement regulations for 120 individuals. According to the agency, the exemptions will good for two years.
